Transportation: via Seattle's infamous Monorail

Description:
The Seattle Monorail has been a Seattle icon since the 1962 World’s Fair. The trains can cover the 1 mile distance at a top speed of 50 miles per hour, making it the fastest full-sized monorail system in the country, even today. Guests can board the monorail at Westlake Plaza, a short two block walk. The 90-second ride will take them directly to Seattle Center, home of the Space Needle and our event location, the Pacific Science Center

The Pacific Science Center, is one of Seattle’s major attractions and a science and education center that’s fun for all ages. Located underneath the Seattle Space Needle, the Pacific Science Center has a wide range of hands-on science exhibits, animal areas, planetarium and laser dome. The Pacific Science Center also was built for the 1962 World’s Fair held in Seattle.
Guests will have plenty to see, touch and do at the Pacific Science Center: delight in a tropical, after-dinner stroll among hundreds of butterflies; see stars, planets, and entire galaxies in the Willard Smith Planetarium; ignite your imagination with activities and exhibits; dine with dinosaurs; and blast to the past with the West Coast’s premier 80’s band, the Retros.
